Sundays at Stanmore Chapel
At the Chapel our main Sunday gathering takes place at 10.30am. At this we offer creche and Sunday School provision for all children up to year 6 age.
We are ensuring the room is well ventilated and are asking people to continue wearing masks whilst indoors with us. Please also be considerate of others and stay away if you are feeling unwell.
We are aware that you may well not have been to church for a long time or maybe you've never been at all. Whatever your situation you are always welcome to join us. We promise that you will be given a warm welcome and that you won’t be asked to do anything.
There's no dress code and our services generally last around 1 hour 15mins. We begin all together before the youngsters leave for their groups.
After the formal part of our time together there's tea and coffee, juice and biscuits. Do stay for that, it's an important part of our gathering together as it provides a relaxed time to say hello and meet others.
We celebrate the Lord's Supper as part of the morning service on the first Sunday of every month.
The aim of all our gatherings is that we might learn, encourage each other and grow together in our love of God and one another. The Bible is central in doing this. There are four main elements to our meetings: we sing (old and new hymns), we pray, and we listen to the Bible being read and taught and we spend time in fellowship with one another.
