Sundays at Stanmore Chapel
At the Chapel our main Sunday gatherings take place at 9am & 11am. At these we offer Sunday School provision for all children up to year 6, and creche facilities at both, with the 9am creche being manned and with some teaching.
Whoever you are and whatever your background or story, you are always welcome to join us! We promise that you will be given a warm welcome and that you won’t be asked to do anything.
There's no dress code and our services generally last around 1 hour 15mins. We begin all together before the youngsters leave for their groups about 20mins in.
After the formal part of our time together there's tea and coffee, juice and biscuits. Do stay for that, it's an important part of our gathering together as it provides a relaxed time to say hello and meet others.
We celebrate the Lord's Supper as part of the morning service on the first Sunday of every month.
The aim of all our gatherings is that we might learn, encourage each other and grow together in our love of God and one another. The Bible is central in doing this. There are four main elements to our meetings: we sing (old and new hymns), we pray, and we listen to the Bible being read and taught and we spend time in fellowship with one another.
